EASYNEWS searchengine helpful hints. If you are already a member of easynews, then login and go to http://members.easynews.com/global4/search.html to get to the searchengine. If you aren't a member and wish to join the world of newsgroups go here
Easynews has a fantastic searchengine for searching the newsgroups for downloads and here are some of the things that I have found useful for a fast search. #1(above) click on "remove duplicates" so you don't fill your search with duplicates. #2 (above) add the size minimum (in kb or mb) if you want you go directly to the larger files only. #3 (above) click on movie if you only want movies (avi, mpg, wmv, divx, xvid, etc.). #4 (above) click on thumbnails so you can view 4 frames of each movie in the search results.
you end up with this (above).If you notice, under each movie it says "thumbnail". Click the word "thumbnail" and a new window will open to show you 20 frames of thumbnails of various parts of the movie.
To set up for programs, click "archive" #4 (above) and "parity" #5 (above). Also, click on "standard" instead of "movie" #6 (above). For Mp3s, click "audio" and "archive" (some albums uploaded are in winrar format). If you look closely, some of the files are par files. Next to these is something easynews added called "par viewer" #8 (below).
Click "par viewer" and it opens a new window with these results:
Cool! Now you have all the files in that set all in one group.One last helpful hint: Easynews has an autounrar program working behind the scenes on this searchengine that automatically takes rar files of movies and unrars them on the fly (once all the rar files have been uploaded to the newsgroups). So, a good search term for movies would be "autounrar" and it will show you all the movies that have been unrarred (made whole). A good time saver because you get the whole movie instead of all the rar files that you have to unrar yourself.

It's $9.98 per month or 20 gigs, whichever comes first. And unused gigs roll over to the next month. So if you go on vacation or work gets kind of too heavy to get all the gigs downloaded, your gigs will be waiting for you when you're ready. In my opinion, this is the best dollar value you can get on the internet. I have been using Easynews for years and have always been very happy with them. I like my sleep and don't do anyone wrong so that I can sleep good at night.
